The idea of Meatpoint first evolved in 1993 when I was asked for advice by various meat companies. My career has included numerous invaluable experiences in the industry, after qualifying from the Meat Trade Institute in Holland I worked for various big companies such as Renown, Checkers and other and eventually started running my own business.

Over the past 16 years I have worked with various companies in the industry in and outside South Africa. I have also run numerous workshops in conjunction with Crown National. These 2 day workshops focused on management in the industry with the aim of improving the efficiency of utilization of carcasses and the costing on meat. Since there are no training facilities for the meat industry in this country, one is often left option less when in need of advice.
